Martin holds a law degree from Ireland and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law from Scotland.

In Scotland, he was appointed as the first legal information officer by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) at the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow). JISC is the UK agency responsible for advising and guiding universities and colleges in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT). His main role was to provide legal guidance to these institutions on issues related to the use of ICT in education, including intellectual property, data protection, freedom of information, cryptography, and online defamation.

Upon returning to his native Ireland, Martin joined the law firm Landwell Abogados (PwC) in Dublin, where he gained valuable experience in legal areas such as sectoral regulation, commercial litigation, corporate and commercial law, as well as conveyancing. This work allowed Martin to consolidate the professional experience gained in general practice during his time with Oliver Shanley Abogados in Navan, Co. Meath.

In Ireland, he combined legal practice with participation and collaboration with prestigious Irish organizations representing the interests of lawyers. He served as president of the Solicitors Apprentices Debating Society of Ireland (SADSI) and was a member of the youth council of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association (DSBA).

In 2004, Martin moved to Valencia, where, for eight years, he was a partner in a general practice law firm specializing in international civil advisory.

He has been a partner at the Firm since 2015, serving as Head of Civil and International Relations, providing advisory services to international clients (both private and corporate) in their investments in Spain.

Martin's experience, diplomacy, and know-how make him a qualified professional to practice law in various jurisdictions and handle matters of international relevance, leading to his inclusion in the list of lawyers compiled by the UK and Irish Embassies in Spain.

He is a member of the Law Society of Ireland as a Solicitor and of the Valencia Bar Association as a Lawyer.
